BAC Welcomes New Talent

BAC is delighted to welcome 10 new team members, marking an exciting milestone in the company’s continued growth.

The new recruits include six Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) trainees and Ireland’s first BCIA Controls Engineer apprentices — further strengthening BAC’s expertise in building controls.

Through the BAC Academy, the first in Ireland to deliver BCIA-accredited training for a Level 4 Controls Engineer qualification, BAC is committed to developing the next generation of engineers. The programme combines hands-on installation experience with structured classroom learning, supported by regular tutor reviews and mentoring.

This investment in local school leavers and students supports BAC’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitments while building a strong pipeline of future talent for the business.

Current apprentices are already seeing the benefits of the programme.

Thomas Irvine, Apprentice at BAC, said: Since joining BAC, I’ve developed a strong technical foundation through hands-on experience across a range of projects. The combination of structured training and real-world application has helped me confidently apply my knowledge in fast-paced environments.”

Charlie Davey, BMS Apprentice, added: “I’ve gained valuable experience working on-site and learning to programme and control building systems. With support from experienced engineers, I’m continuing to develop my skills while working towards my qualification. I would highly recommend BAC’s apprenticeship programme.”

BAC NI looks forward to supporting its newest apprentices and trainees as they begin their careers.
